Irish and Scottish Musicians in Wyoming
Among our small, but experienced and dedicated group of pipers in Wyoming, there is a rich understanding of Scottish and Irish music. Melissa Bautz, who is a grade 1 piper (the best grade!) has been competing and playing and the bagpipes at the highest level for decades. Melissa has also taught many of Wyoming’s bagpipers. Many of the bagpipers in Wyoming have also travelled the country and internationally to participate in workshops and competitions.
The pipers also perform at numerous concerts and festivals throughout the state such as; Bagpipes at Christmas, a fundraising concert in Casper, Beartap Summer Festival, St Paddy’s Festivities, International Uilleann Pipe Day, and many more.
